Welcome to the Japanese School of Beijing

The Japanese School of Beijing is in Chaoyang District and can trace its roots right back to 1974, making it one of the oldest international schools in Beijing. The language of instruction is Japanese with both Chinese and English offered as second-language subjects.

This exclusive school is for Japanese nationals only, and teaches the Japanese national curriculum, in line with the high standards inscribed in Japanese law. Parents are reassured by the knowledge that all text books and methods are issued or approved by the Japanese central education authority. This ensures that students wishing to pursue higher education in Japan, or continue their grade education at one of the many Japanese international schools across the globe, they will have been taught the exacting standards expected by these institutions.

The Japanese School of Beijing offers extraordinary extracurricular activities

Due to its size, the school is able to provide fantastic extracurricular and excursion activities to its pupils including regular swimming, music, art, embroidery, kanji, and skating classes and inspiring trips to cultural spots, including the Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall.
