Welcome to Dulwich College Beijing

Steeped in history, Dulwich College is one of the UK’s oldest independent schools, and was founded in South London as a boys’ school in 1619. Ten years ago, Dulwich College brought its high standard of education, which has been enjoyed by many of the elite in Britain for hundreds of years, to Asia. It has gone on to secure a reputation for nurturing students to achieve the exceptional academic results expected by leading Western universities. Dulwich College Beijing was the second College to join the Dulwich family of schools.

Dulwich Beijing College is made up of over 1,450 students from age 1 to age 18, with over forty-five different nationalities making up its diverse student body. The motto of the college is, “Building a Bridge to the World,” translating into an educational philosophy driven by a passion to bridge the barriers to progress, opening up a whole world of opportunities to its students and enabling them to fulfill their potential and pursue their dreams.

Sports are a very important part of the culture at Dulwich and a major draw for many families. They say we only truly live when we play, and Dulwich understands the important role play and team spirit has in building confidence and preparing students for leadership, as well as instilling that very important lesson in life – we do not always win! With partnerships with many prestigious sporting events, and the school’s own Dulwich Games, and four-yearly Olympiad, students have the opportunity to travel and represent their school in their chosen sport.
